Just to remind me of the way the world works: Wednesday morning, the trash gets picked up.
Wednesday afternoon, I get three packages...and lots of packing material!
Oh, well...
One of my packages was a batch of books that I now must find time to read.
There was a big box of candles from Candlemart; they're fabulous. Lots of buy one, get one free deals.
But the one that truly made me smile was my Blogging By Mail package, from Jennifer.
Wow...just, wow.
Jennifer, who's from North Carolina, sent along poppyseed cake, a fantastic spinach, mozzarella, and red pepper bread (yum!), and cookies that made Alex say 'they're really good, Mommy'.
She also included a jar of pepper jelly (a first for me), a tube of Burts Bees lip balm (love that stuff), and a box of (mineminemine) salt water taffy.
Oh...and a wonderful CD, not pictured here because it was playing in the kitchen! Clearly, Jennifer and I have similar musical tastes.
Thanks so much; this was just the pick-me-up I needed Wednesday.
