This time, Sugar & Spice Popovers!

Matt loves popovers. Generally, I make them, and he gobbles 'em up.

So when I found a recipe for breakfast popovers, I knew I had to try it.

Very basic, very simple. But apparently, very tasty!

Matt says they're not as crispy as a savory popover, but still quite good.

And as always, feel free to ask for the recipe!

- Wartime Wednesday: Coffee Cake With Crumb Topping
Well, after a long hiatus, Wartime Wednesdays is back. Each Wednesday, I'll showcase a recipe from The Victory Binding of the American Woman's Cook Book, a marvelous old tome filled with everything you could ever want to know about cooking,...

- Wartime Wednesdays: From The Victory Kitchen
I'm known for being a bit of a retro-gal. My 1950's kitchen (with original stove, sink and metal cabinets), movies, clothes...and yes, cooking. I have a nice collection of older cookbooks, plus a hefty shelf of Gourmet magazines, going back to...

- Retro Dinner: Chateaubriand With Bearnaise Sauce, Herbed Roasted Potatoes, And Popovers
Saturday night, another retro meal for Matt. Once again using this book (and wow...am I getting my mom's money's worth), I served up organic beef tenderloin, cooked the way Matt likes it (rare), with a rich, creamy, sauce. Matt said it was a...

- Too. Much. Food.
Ow. I hurt. And I mean, hurt. Two days (and nights!) of cooking. Two nights of not sleeping (well, not nearly enough). But, I'm happy to report that dinner was a success...Matt's parents and grandmom liked everything (although we made so much,...
