Fun Shapes, and You

I'm sure you've seen those cute little shaped baking cups on the shelves. I mean, come on...we're foodies; we notice these things!

Reynolds Fun Shapes have been on the market for a while now (and Joe; you've used them, right?), with all sorts fun and holiday shapes. In fact, I've sent off a pack of ghost-shaped cups to an overseas friend!

Fun Shapes are a neat way to jazz up brownies, cakes and cupcakes, and now the folks behind those cute little pans want to help you make your next school bake sale a real hit.

Here's how it works: log onto Reynolds Funs Shapes and explain why your school's bake sale needs "shaping up" for a chance to win a FunShapes 'Shape Up Your Bake Sale' kit. Reynolds will be giving away sixty of these kits each week for six weeks starting September 22, 2006. Each kit includes a variety of FunShapes samples, a CD-rom with tips, recipes and signage for hosting a successful bake sale, a FunShapes tablecloth and a FunShapes calculator for quick tallies of customersÂ’ bills. In addition, the 'Shape Up Your Bake Sale' kits will include a disposable camera and entry information for an exclusive photo contest, with a chance to win a $500 donation to your organization from Reynolds FunShapes Baking Cups.

It's just that easy!

(now, you know I'm not the type who sells or promotes things on this blog, but as both a baker and a school-supporter, I don't see the harm)

- Why I've Been So Quiet Lately...
Just one of the reasons; school bake sale. The stuff in the background? Materials for Alex's Halloween costume (and proof I married a wonderful man...Matt's doing the sewing!). These are just two things taking up all our time right now. But...

- Today's The Day!--breaking News
BREAKING NEWS! BREAKING NEWS! BREAKING NEWS! As I'm stomach-deep in bake sale baking (no, seriously...the flour & cocoa detritus seems to collect about waist-high), and I'll be away from home for most of tomorrow, I won't even start on Blog...

- Blog Party#27 Is Coming Soon!
There's still a couple days left to work on your Blog Party#27: Halloween entries! Spooky, creepy, or just fun; turn your favorite appetizers AND cocktails into Halloween-themed treats. Entries are due this Thursday, 25 October; leave a link in...

- Shf: Surprise!
Surprise! Alanna of Veggie Venture is hosting this month's Sugar High Friday, one of my favorite foodie events. Don't think a veg-heavy blogger can do lots of sugary goodness? Think again. This month's theme, Surprise Inside, just happened...

- Which Glass Is Best For Kool-aid?
Last Friday, the San Francisco Chronicle ran a big ad for Riedel stemware, disguised as an article about the way that the shape of a glass affects the taste the wine. I love my Riedel glasses, but author Richard Hacker forgot to ask some interesting questions. What...
