This week, how about finding a little love for some under-appreciated veggies? Just give it a try. All of these recipes would be welcome additions on your Thanksgiving table.

First off, for those who don't know what to do with beets and radishes, a recipe that uses both. Tea of Tea and Cookies makes batches and batches and batches of ruby red crunchies.

If you love cabbage raise your hand! Really? Alanna at Veggie Venture loves cabbage. It shouldn't surprise you that by cooking it with a little pancetta and garlic it becomes a succulent side dish. Savoy cabbage is delicately flavored and textured. Go on. Give a try.

What do you do with rutabagas, butternut squash AND sweet potatoes? Veronica of Veronica's Test Kitchen puts them in a creamy soup. Even though there is no way I could make anything with 2 cups of cream, it is inspiring. Maybe I'll even come up with a lower fat version...

Sorry, but this next one has nothing to do with vegetables. Imagine your favorite candy bar only made with the best ingredients ever. If this gets you all worked up, you should probably make friends with Nina over at Sweet Napa.

- All About Savoy Cabbage
Savoy cabbage is the prettiest cabbage of all, with its fantastic crinkly leaves and its contrasting dark on pale color palette. Only a few outer leaves are dark green and quite so textured, inside it is creamy and pale. Despite its rugged appearance...

- Favorite Things: Route 29 Napa
I'm a sucker for great looking packaging. If it's cute and retro that just clinches it. While I was a little confused at first as to why the brand name is Route 29 Napa and the company is located in Minneapolis, I like their candy nonetheless....

I can't believe it's been a whole year, but it has. I began this blog on my birthday and here it is, and another birthday has come around, mine and my blogs. Three hundred and sixty five days and almost twenty three thousand visits to the site!...
